Exposures

When a tooth does not properly emerge through the gums, it is considered impacted. This is most common with canines and wisdom teeth and can lead to alignment issues or prevent proper eruption. An exposure procedure helps guide the tooth into its correct position.

During this procedure, the gum tissue is carefully opened to expose the impacted tooth. In many cases, a small orthodontic attachment is placed to help move the tooth into alignment over time.

Placement of Brackets

In many cases, a small orthodontic bracket is attached to the exposed tooth. This bracket allows your orthodontist to apply gentle, controlled pressure to guide the tooth into proper alignment over time.

Uprighting of Teeth

Some teeth may grow in at an angle or become tilted due to crowding. Uprighting procedures help reposition these teeth into a more natural, functional position, improving both alignment and bite.
